Originally from Boise, Idaho, Severina Gates first discovered ESSENTRICS® in 2009 through the PBS show, Classical Stretch. After moving to Boston in 2011, she noticed there was a lack of instruction in the ESSENTRICS® and began training as an instructor in 2013.

Severina has trained under creator Miranda Esmonde-White, and is the only fully certified Level 4 ESSENTRICS® instructor in Massachusetts. With 14 years of experience in ballet, she has worked with a variety of clients, including seniors, musicians, and young professionals. She also works as a Mentor Trainer for the ESSENTRICS® Teacher Training department, helping instructors all around North America through the certification process, as well as leading mini Teacher Training workshops.
